How to store CBD flowers?

CBD flowers stored in a jar

After receiving beautiful, intensely scented CBD flowers, you wonder how to store them.

Your aim: to keep the flowers in the same condition as when you received them.

Your mission: to protect them from air, light, humidity and temperature variations!

Air and sunlight

Prolonged exposure to oxygen and UV rays can cause the decomposition of cannabinoids, terpenes and other plant compounds. A flower that has been excessively exposed to air and sun contains less CBD and is also much less aromatic due to the loss of terpenes.

It will be even less pleasant to consume.

Humidity

You should also avoid exposing high-quality CBD strains to humidity. Our CBD flowers go through a drying process to ensure optimum moisture content.

Even just a little more humidity could make your flowers harder to grind and use, and in the worst case, your flowers could go moldy.

The right temperature: neither too hot nor too cold.

High temperatures can be harmful to CBD flowers, causing them to dry out and impairing their quality. One of the biggest risks associated with high temperatures is the appearance of mold, which can develop when flowers are exposed to high heat and humidity. But you should also avoid freezing temperatures, as they can break the trichomes and your flowers will lose their effectiveness. A temperature between 12 and 22°C is optimal. This may sound complicated, but don't panic! A simple cupboard, drawer or dark corner should do the trick.

For those asking the question "Do CBD flowers spoil?" the answer is now clear. In fact, flowers can deteriorate when :

- exposed to humidity,

- stored in an environment with an unsuitable or variable temperature,

- exposed to the air,

- exposed to light.

Resealable bags or pouches: a temporary solution for storing CBD buds

Reclosable bags or pouches with a "zip" mechanism are a good solution for temporary storage of CBD flowers. They prevent air and moisture from penetrating inside, but their limited hermeticity is sufficient for storage of just a few weeks.

For longer-term storage, a more appropriate solution is required.

The best long-term solution: Grandma's jars

For longer storage, we recommend transferring the flowers to jars, similar to those our grandmothers used to store food. These jars should be kept in the dark.

CBD, like all other cannabinoids, is contained in the tiny crystalline trichomes that cover the flower's surface. The constant opening and closing of the bag disrupts the flower and causes many of the debris and trichomes remaining in the bag to fall out. This is why a flower storage bag becomes sticky over time.

Storing your CBD in glass jars won't expose these delicate flowers as much. Colored jars are even better, as they help protect against harmful UV rays. However, the best solution is to keep them in a dark space as much as possible. A place with the least temperature variations and a cooler temperature should be preferred.

If you keep up to date with what's new in the world of cannabinoids, you're bound to have heard of synthetic cannabinoids. H4CBN, H3CBN, THCV, HHCPO and the list goes on: these "neo-cannabinoids" mostly appeared after the HHC ban in France and more widely in Europe for their psychotropic and above all addictive properties. But as [...]

Progress never stops, and in the world of CBD, innovation never stops. After HHC, HHCPO, THCPO, here comes CBN-O. As you may have guessed, CBNO, aka cannabinol acetate-O, is the acetylated version of CBN. And as always, on a molecular level, this version is [...].

Taking CBD in oil form is one of the most effective ways of consuming cannabidiol. In a bottle, it's very practical and easy to dose, thanks to its dosing pipette. What's more, when taken sublingually, by placing the drops under the tongue, the CBD rapidly comes into contact with the [...].
