MCPN and MCPB are two acronyms: MCPN stands for Maximum Cannabinoids Power Natural and MCPB for Maximum Cannabinoids Power Boost. These two cannabinoid blends offer unique formulas, composed to unleash the power of cannabinoids through their entourage effect.
MCPN is formulated from natural cannabinoids, while MCPB is composed of the same cannabinoid mixture, to which 10-OH-HHC and 8-OH-HHC are added.

What is the composition of MCPN?
MCPN is a formula developed to mimic the effects of flowers containing cannabinoids such as H4CBD or H3CBN. It ranks among the natural cannabinoid mixes just like our THM.
MCP-N is composed of natural cannabinoid isolates. The main ones are:
- CBN (Cannabinol): Known for its sedative and relaxing properties, CBN is said to promote sleep and help reduce anxiety.
- CBC (Cannabichromene): This cannabinoid is said to help improve mood, has anti-inflammatory properties, and may help alleviate pain.
- CBG (Cannabigerol): Often called the "mother cannabinoid", CBG is known for its anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective effects, as well as its potential antibacterial properties.
- CBD (Cannabidiol): CBD is renowned for its anti-anxiety, anti-inflammatory effects and therapeutic potential in a variety of medical conditions.
The synergy between these cannabinoids, known as the “entourage effect” , amplifies the beneficial effects of each, thus offering a more complete and effective relaxation experience.
What is the composition of the MCPB?
The composition of MCPB is quite similar to MCPN, but there's a difference in size that drastically increases the compound's potency: 10-OH-HHC and 8-OH-HHC. These two synthetic molecules contribute to the entourage effect caused by CBD, CBC, CBG and CBN, giving the blend greater potency. MCPB is said to have been formulated to replace THCP or HHCPO.
10-OH-HHC and 8-OH-HHC are two metabolites of HHC (hexahydrocannabinol). They are by-products of HHC oxidation, when processed by the liver's cytochrome P450 enzymes.
Discovered in the 1980s, 10-OH-HHC and 8-OH-HHC were only fully isolated in 2015. But the two molecules were not really present on the market before the June 2024 ban.
Is MCPN psychoactive? What are its effects?
MCPN has no psychoactive effects. It does not cause any significant alteration of consciousness, nor any intense euphoric effect. The combination of compounds present in MCPN and the resulting entourage effect generally induces a feeling of well-being, and a deeper relaxation than that of simple CBD.
Depending on dosage and individual sensitivity, MCPN can also induce mild euphoria. The effects of MCPN are similar to those of highly concentrated, full-spectrum CBD. This means that, in addition to its recreational effects, it may also have antidepressant properties and exert beneficial effects on sleep, muscle recovery and pain relief.
Is MCPB psychoactive? What are its effects?
Unlike MCPN, MCPB is specifically formulated to create enhanced psychoactive effects . These two synthetic metabolites increase the product's affinity for the CB1 and CB2 receptors of the endocannabinoid system, producing intense psychoactive effects comparable to those of THC.
Thanks to its common basis with MCPN, MCPB could possess roughly similar effects such as deep relaxation, a sense of elevation, restful sleep and pain relief.
However, specific research into the interactions of 10-OH-HHC and 8-OH-HHC with other cannabinoids is still very limited. We therefore advise you to start with low doses and gradually adjust according to your personal tolerance.
Possible side effects of MCPB and MCPN
As you know, consuming CBD products can carry certain risks, but some molecules are riskier than others. This is particularly true of MCPB. With its formula enriched with 8-OH-HHC and 10-OH-HHC, MCPB is capable of producing a psychoactive effect . Like all cannabinoids in this category, overconsumption or inappropriate use can potentially lead to:
- Excessive sleepiness
- Headaches
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Nausea
Although rare, these effects can occur in overdoses or in sensitive individuals. It is therefore essential to consume MCPB in moderation.
Regarding MCPN, its all-natural composition gives it a more reliable safety profile. Nevertheless, it too can cause undesirable side effects similar to those of CBD. We therefore advise you to follow the same precautions.

Is MCPN legal?
At present, there are no laws prohibiting or restricting the creation of products based on mixtures of natural and synthetic cannabinoids. MCPN- and MCPB-based products are totally legal as long as they contain less than 0.3% THC, and do not contain any previously banned molecules.
You can therefore buy MCPN freely, but we remind you that, like CBD, MCPN and MCPB flowers and resins may not be smoked. For an optimal consumption experience, we recommend you equip yourself with a vaporizer, which allows you to enjoy all the benefits of CBD without the dangers associated with combustion.
MCPN and MCPB: What product ranges are available?
Since MCPN and MCPB are mixtures of cannabinoids composed from isolates, they can be found in a multitude of forms, such as :
- Flowers and resins infused with MCPN or MCPB
- MCPN or MCPB oils
- E-liquids.
To our knowledge, there are currently no cosmetic or topical products containing MCPN or MCPB , nor any edible products such as capsules or gummies containing MCPN. But if demand for this molecule continues to grow, we're sure there will be in the future.
What do consumers think of MCPN?
Consumer feedback on MCPN is generally quite good. Most note that it could effectively replace previously banned molecules, such as H4CBD and H3CBN for MCPN, or THCP and HHCPO for MCPB. Nevertheless, both products, although increasingly recognized, have rather limited sales, which limits the number of opinions available to us.
If you'd like to test either molecule to make up your own mind, we advise you to buy them from trusted CBD shops and take care to avoid over-consumption.
Where to buy MCPB and MCPN
These two relatively new products are gaining in popularity every day. You may be able to find MCPN or MCPB in some physical CBD shops in major cities such as Paris, Lyon or Toulouse. Unfortunately, we don't know the addresses.
