God God Father OG is one of those strains that generates buzz by surrounding itself with an aura of mystery. Developed in the early 2010s, this Cali weed quickly conquered the Californian medical market before exploding in 2013, when it won thetitle of "Best Indica" at the High Times Cannabis Cup in Los Angeles.
It was following this success that things became unclear. The first cross likely resulted from a marriage between two varieties of the Kush family: XXX OG and Alpha OG, renowned for their high resin production and powerful sedative effects. Its success was so rapid and widespread that several breeders began creating their own phenotypes under the same name. As a result, several genetically distinct " God Father OG " strains now circulate under the same name, making it a legendary variety with an uncertain and disputed genetic heritage.
The strain we offer with WeNeed has its own unique phenotype, the result of a proprietary cross and rigorous selection. But it still bears the true hallmarks of the original: compact, highly resinous buds, a Kush terpene profile, earthy, spicy, and slightly fruity notes. This faithfulness to the original genetics earned it first place at the CannaCup during GrowFestival CZ 2026.'s breeding work WeNeed lives up to the legend, remaining true to the flavors that made the strain famous.
