The Gorilla lineage: a happy accident

The Gorilla original, like the Gorilla king or the Royal Gorilla, is derived from the Gorilla Glue. While today it is one of the most renowned and therefore most sought-after varieties, this variety could very well have never existed, as it is the result of an accident.

Legend has it that the Gorilla lineage was created by Joesy Whales and Lone Watie, two American breeders and friends. One year, Joesy was growing Chem Sis plants alongside Sour Dubb plants. By chance, the Chem Sis plants produced hermaphrodites that pollinated the Sour Dubb. The harvest was ruined, and Joesy decided to uproot the entire plantation, but Lone managed to collect some seeds and decided to plant them. And so, the Gorilla line was born from a mistake and narrowly escaped oblivion.
