the new CBD shop CBDOO acquisition: THV. It's a new synthetic cannabinoid derived from CBD. But this one is a little different from the others, since it doesn't seek to replace THC or HHC - unlike 10-OH-HHC or THCN. In fact, it has been
specially formulated to reproduce the effects of THCV. THV is the new THCV
THV, from its scientific name THV2, is a new kind of compound. Quite similar to
THCV, it has been designed to mimic its effects in every way. THCV, or tetrahydrocannabivarin, is a minor cannabinoid naturally present in CBD and cannabis flowers. Discovered in the 1970s, it has been shown to be over-represented in varieties from sub-Saharan Africa. Customs and port authorities therefore used it to determine the origin of the contraband cannabis seized. After HHC was banned in 2023, the molecule artificially concentrated at the heart of resins and flowers gained notoriety alongside THCP and HHCPO. Consumers particularly appreciated the effects of this molecule,
which change according to dosage, offer great versatility. The effects of THV
Like THCV, the
he effects of THV vary according to dosage. At low doses, THV produces :
- A feeling of mental clarity and creative stimulation
- An energy boost for inspiration and motivation
- Mild anxiolytic effect, gentle relaxation without sedation or heaviness
At higher doses
THV can produce a sensation of high and euphoria, particularly when consumed in the presence of other cannabinoids, such as CBN, also known for its mild psychoactive effects.
When to use THV
Thanks to this versatility of effects, the THV can have
different applications depending on the time of day and the tasks at hand. A small dose of THV could be ideal to help you through a studious afternoon, for example, or to stay focused on an important task. Whereas a
higher doses are better suited to relaxation activitiesideal for spending evenings with friends playing role-playing or board games, or playing video games on your own.
How are THV flowers and resins produced?
As for
our other CBD derivatives, whether
synthetic cannabinoids such as CBDPor a
blend of natural cannabinoids such as THMTHV is obtained in the laboratory. It is synthesized from pure CBD, naturally isolated from organically grown flowers. Once transformed into an isolate, THV is cold-infused into the heart of our premium flowers and resins containing
naturally high concentrations of CBDof minor cannabinoids (CBN, CBG, CBC...) and terpenes. This innovative process enables gentle integration, without heating or altering the plant's other active components. Thanks to cutting-edge technology and techniques that respect both the product and the user, our THV-infused flowers and resins are 100% guaranteed to be free of solvents, additives and harmful chemical residues. The result: a powerful, pure, safe and effective experience.
Medical applications for THV?
For the moment, THV is a totally new molecule. No studies have been carried out on its effects on the body or mind. If it had the same effects as THCV, it could produce :
- Regulation and/or reduction of appetite: THCV has the opposite effect to THC on appetite. Unlike THC, known for its almost uncontrollable cravings, THCV tends to reduce the sensation of hunger. It has also been tested as an aid in the treatment of obesity and overweight.
- Blood sugar regulation: research has suggested that THCV may help regulate blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes.
- Nervous system pain management: THCV may indeed have soothing properties on excessive pain caused by lesions or inflammation of the nervous system or muscles.
For the time being, however, these
properties remain totally hypothetical and should be understood in this sense alone, until studies confirm or contradict them.
THV vs THV-N10
THV, also known as THV2is a different version of the THV-N10 we previously offered. THV-N10 is a synthetic molecule derived from CBD. With its hydrogenated profile, it is structurally close to
10-OH-HHC. Its effects make it a powerful molecule, with psychoactive properties similar to those of THC. THV differs from THV-N10 in several ways:
- Psychoactivity: At low doses, THV has little or no psychoactive effect. At higher doses, its effects remain moderate and well-controlled, unlike THV-N10, which develops a much more marked intensity.
- How it feels : THV provides an energy boost, mental clarity and a creative impulse. In this respect, it comes close to the typical sensations of a good Sativa. THV-N10, on the other hand, induces a sensation of sedation and deep relaxation, closer to the profile of an Indica.
- Safety: Because of its psychoactive potency, THV-N10 can carry the risk of a "bad trip", sometimes causing stress, anxiety or paranoia. Conversely, the milder, more balanced THV presents virtually no risk of overdose or adverse effects.
Is THV legal in France?
As a new molecule, classified like CBD in dietary supplements, THV is totally legal as long as it complies with current legislation, namely:
- Contains less than 0.3% THC
- It comes from a variety authorized in the EU
- That it contains no narcotics (THCP, Spice, HHC...)
Our flowers and resins enriched with THV, respecting these three rules, are
fully legal in France and the European Union. However, they are not suitable for minors, and are not recommended for pregnant or breast-feeding women.
