Lebanon began doing just that in 2020, legalizing cannabis for medical and industrial purposes. In doing so, it became the first Arab country to legalize cannabis.

But more precisely, red Lebanese is native to the Bekaa Valley, a plain situated between two mountains in the east of the country. Thanks to its geographical location, the Bekaa Valley boasts fertile soil and a warm climate, providing ideal conditions for the growth of hemp and cannabis plants. Different varieties of landraces grow here naturally. As you can imagine, Lebanon and hemp have a long history.

The UV rays destroy the chlorophyll in the plant, which then takes on a reddish-brown color. Next, the flowers are hand-picked and reduced to resin using the Moroccan dry sift technique. They are gently passed through increasingly fine sieves. The trichomes, terpenes and flavonoids, are separated from the plant material, then hot-pressed to form the hash.
